About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Assistant for Special Educational Needs (SEN) within an educational environment.
This role is focused on providing essential support to children and young individuals aged 5-16 who have diverse SEN requirements, including profound multiple learning difficulties, emotional and behavioral challenges, severe learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students with their educational development and personal care needs.
- Providing care-based support, including assistance with feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene.
- Collaborating with educators to create a nurturing and supportive learning atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities.
- A background in care-based roles.
- A valid DBS check registered with the online update service, or a willingness to obtain one.
- Availability to work five days a week and a commitment to a minimum duration of 1-6 months.
