This role presents a remarkable opportunity for a seasoned sheet metal professional with extensive industry experience.

With over six decades of expertise in delivering high-quality, high-volume precision sheet metal solutions, Greengate Metal Components Limited provides a comprehensive manufacturing service from initial prototypes to final delivery. Our offerings encompass CNC punching, laser cutting, bending, forming, welding, powder coating, wet painting, anodising, sheet metal fabrication, machining, screen printing, installation, and assembly.

Our team of 50 operates within one of the nation’s most advanced manufacturing facilities, a 50,000 square foot factory outfitted with cutting-edge technology tailored for our sector. We prioritize the training and continuous development of our engineers to ensure they meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prioritize workflow within the CNC department.
  • Oversee and guide your team and other personnel on the production floor.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff members.
  • Maintain machinery and ensure cleanliness in your designated area.
  • Interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, ensuring products are fabricated according to specifications and within set timelines.
  • Conduct initial inspections, routine patrol inspections, and batch inspections. Complete First Article Inspection Reports as required.
  • Engage with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors effectively.
  • Communicate with management regarding issues and potential improvements. Report daily activities to the production manager.
  • Address internal and external non-conformance issues. Adhere to ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in skilled sheet metal fabrication.
  • Cities & Guilds qualification is preferred.
  • Prior experience in quality control is essential.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, ISO standards, and bills of materials.
  • Familiarity with Vernier Callipers and Micrometres is required.
  • Proficient in IT and capable of using Microsoft Office applications.

Work Schedule: 38-44 hours per week.

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience.
