Export Coordinator Job Description

Brightwork Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Export Coordinator to join our team in Aberdeen. As an integral part of our Export team, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments from start to finish, ensuring excellent customer service and meeting set team goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to our service
  • Develop core client relationships to achieve set team goals
  • Work closely with the Sales team to maintain existing client relationships
  • Attend regular client meetings
  • Accurately enter consignment and client information into our system
  • Book shipments with carriers, including airlines, shipping lines, and road transport companies
  • Process all shipping documentation, including MAWB, HAWB, Bill of Lading, CMR, and Standard Shipping Note
  • Process customs declarations through ASM software in accordance with instructions and HMRC compliance
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations
  • Adhere to destination-specific documentation requirements
  • Ensure all monthly KPIs are met and billing requirements are achieved in a timely manner
  • Provide competitive quotations to customers and overseas offices, ensuring intelligent buying is always sought
  • Resolve day-to-day issues with clients and vendors, including issuing NCRs
  • Ensure a full understanding of the company's Compliance Programme, working closely with the Export Manager and Regional Compliance Manager for the latest edition of trade sanctions, etc.
  • Follow client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Requirements:
  • Good organizational skills
  • High level of accuracy in checking and processing information
  • Ability to form good relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Experience in freight forwarding/logistics background
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experienced in handling Dangerous Goods
  • Comprehensive understanding of Export Regimes and Customs Tariff
  • Familiar with Lloyds Loading List, OAG Flight Guide, and Croner's Export Guide
  • Excellent Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel
  • Good oral and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to react to suit operational demands
