Apprenticeship Overview

We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Manufacturing Technician. As part of our apprenticeship program, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of manufacturing and testing our products.

Vacancy Description

As an Apprentice Manufacturing Technician, you'll rotate through different Value Streams, learning about every step of manufacturing and testing our range of products. You'll also complete a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, which will provide you with a solid foundation in academic knowledge to complement your practical experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a placement in each of our manufacturing cells to gain hands-on experience in different areas of manufacturing.

• Spend time in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain, Service, and Manufacturing Engineering to gain a comprehensive understanding of our products and processes.

• Develop strong communication and problem-solving skills through regular interactions with colleagues and supervisors.

Requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) at grade 5 and above, including English, Science, and Maths.

Skills and Qualities

We're looking for individuals with excellent communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills. You should also have a keen interest in manufacturing and engineering, and be able to work effectively in a team.

We'll provide you with comprehensive training and development opportunities, including:

  • Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard
  • Company Training Plan & Assessment
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge
  • Development Competence Qualification
  • Level 2 Functional Skills - Maths and English (if required)
  • End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship
