Join Our Academy Trust Board

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our Academy Trust Board, overseeing four primary schools in Bury, Greater Manchester. As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our Trust and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students.

  • Oversee financial performance to ensure funds are used effectively for educational outcomes
Our Trust

Vision Multi-Academy Trust was formed in 2017 and serves communities in Bury and Manchester. We are a community of schools where children come first, and we aim for them to thrive and achieve their full potential in a supportive environment through excellent teaching and enrichment opportunities.

Requirements

We seek up to three new Trustees with strategic senior leadership and business experience. Ideal candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Education (primary, special, or secondary), Legal, Estates, or SEND. Applications from all backgrounds and faiths are welcome, provided Trustees support our Trust's ethos and values.

We support vulnerable children and young people, offering extensive support and educational opportunities for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs who cannot thrive in mainstream settings. Our Trust collaborates with schools, parents/carers, and professionals to promote educational and social inclusion across Bury.

What We Offer

Trustees receive onboarding support, including a Governance Handbook, training, and an experienced Trustee buddy. The Trust Board meets three times a year for two-hour sessions, with remote options available in exceptional cases. Ideal candidates will also join one of our committees: Finance, Audit, Risk, and Resources (FARR) or HR and Standards.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory disclosure at the appropriate level under the Disclosure and Barring Service.
