Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our young and vibrant team at The Roseate Edinburgh Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute menu development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining restaurant
  • Excellent knowledge of pastry and baking techniques
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and food safety regulations
