About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Manager to join our team at Construction Resources Limited. As a Senior Development Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the business unit in delivering its annual budget requirements and associated performance targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Delivery: Lead the technical delivery for each allocated project, working within all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Project Management: Manage the process of design solutions, ensuring they meet business commercial needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate internal staff and external consultants on projects to establish their full commercial contribution to the organization.
  • Commercial Management: Monitor and control professional fees and budget on appointed projects, ensuring the Commercial team is aware of any spend and update cost to complete.
  • Risk Management: Assess, control, and mitigate risks and implement Partnerships risk policy.
  • Contract Management: Support the project teams to fulfill contracts safely, on time, and to the required quality while minimizing costs.
Requirements
  • Construction Experience: Residential development experience, with a focus on mixed tenure regeneration projects on brownfield sites.
  • Design Management: Management of design consultants, including the selection, proposal, and appointment of external design consultants.
  • Commercial Awareness: Contract and commercial awareness, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Technical Knowledge: Good technical knowledge and skills, with experience in the social/affordable housing and healthcare sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, with a focus on continuous improvement.
