Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team at West Dunbartonshire Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to children, young people, and their families in line with GIRFEC principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with colleagues from Health and Education to deliver safe contact between children and their families.
  • Contribute to agreed care plan objectives and outcomes.
  • Assess contact and work collaboratively with the team around the child.
  • Provide support to children, young people, and their families in a range of settings.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families.
  • Good people skills and a genuine interest in assisting children and families in need.
  • Ability to work to a monthly rota covering 5 days out of 7 per week between the hours of 8am and 10pm.
  • Driving across and out with the local authority area can be required for this role.
