Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demi Sous Chef to join our team at The Norbreck Castle Hotel, a grand and vibrant hotel overlooking the Irish Sea. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of menus, including food costing and inventory management
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Demi Sous Chef in a similar hotel or restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
