Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at 5 Star Recruitment. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for assisting residents with their daily care needs, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. You will also be involved in the organization of social activities and participate in ways intended to promote residents' physical and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily care needs, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Help residents with problems of mobility and other physical disabilities, such as incontinence.
  • Apply practical intervention procedures for dementia or behavioral problems.
  • Participate in social activities and promote residents' physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with the setting up of the dining room/meal trays and help serve food as required.
  • Help make and change beds and assist with light domestic duties.
  • Monitor residents' medical or physical condition and report any changes to the Manager/Senior in charge.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the Home.

  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and emergency situations.
  • Commitment to the rights of elderly and disabled people to live dignified lives.
Working Conditions:

The Healthcare Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care and support to residents with varying needs. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, using your initiative and problem-solving skills to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is competitive, with regular hours paid at £12.00 per hour. Regular nights, Saturdays, and Sundays are paid at £13.00 and £14.00 per hour, respectively. Bank holidays are paid at £17.00 per hour.
