Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Analyst to join our Quality Department at Muller Bellshill.

Job Summary:

The Senior Quality Analyst will be responsible for driving quality performance through improved analysis, extended subject knowledge, and testing performance. This role will strive to continuously improve in line with the Muller values by supporting the development of Laboratory Technicians and the Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure laboratory tasks are completed on time to the right standard.
  • Complete all testing accurately and on time in line with the MTS's, including any additional trial work and annual surveillance testing.
  • Perform daily calibrations and controls, and investigate and resolve any issues.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and tidy laboratory environment.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels.
  • Prioritize workload effectively.
  • Complete all documentation, both electronic and hard copies, in full.

Muller Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate active involvement in solving problems and troubleshooting through data analysis and evaluation.
  • Develop Laboratory Technicians to have the same approach.
  • Demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the laboratory QMS and play an active part in building and maintaining the QMS and laboratory accreditation.
  • Display drive and motivation to continually improve quality-based performance.
  • Complete internal audits on time and to the right standard.
  • Highlight any quality issues to the team leader.
  • Complete internal and external proficiency testing on time and to a high standard.
  • Mentor and train Laboratory Technicians.
  • Support Central teams in driven projects to develop new methods, systems, and processes.

Essential Skills and Capabilities:

  • Competent in microbiological methods, including Total Viable Count (Petrifilm) and Enterobacteriaceae (Petrifilm).
  • Previous laboratory experience.
  • Aseptic skills.
  • Auditing.
  • Lab safety.
  • NIR technology (FOSS).
  • Equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Laboratory Accreditation standards, i.e., CLAS.

Desirable Skills and Capabilities:

  • Pipetting skills.
  • HACCP L2.
  • In-depth Micro and dairy Chemistry knowledge.
