Structural Engineer Opportunity

ATS Recruitment is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our client, a leading provider of Structural Insurance with an international presence. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assessing structural designs, reviewing technical information, and providing expert advice on claims.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil, geotechnical, or structural engineering, with a focus on foundation design. You will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking assessments of structural designs for various building types, with a focus on foundation design.
  • Reviewing drawings, calculations, and other technical information to mitigate risk related to foundation design.
  • Providing technical advice on claims and undertaking site inspections as needed.
  • Having a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, including Building Regulations, British Standards, and Eurocodes.
  • Having technical expertise in geotechnical engineering and a demonstrable understanding of underlying principles.
  • Understanding Building Regulations and associated legislation.
  • Ability to undertake site inspections to assess compliance with approved design, Technical Manual, and Codes of Practice.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Flexible approach and full UK driving license.
