We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Astute People. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of fuel at our Energy from Waste power station.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting supplier visits, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Supporting the Operations Team in monitoring and reporting non-conforming waste/fuel quality
  • Monitoring samples for compliance with Calorific Value and REGOs
  • Developing and implementing quality control procedures to ensure consistency and excellence
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality-related issues

Requirements:

  • Relevant Waste Management qualification such as WAMITAB or COTC
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification
  • Strong contract and commercial management skills, including bids and KPI monitoring
  • Knowledge of the UK Waste Market and related policies/legislation
