Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and manage Early Warning notices to ensure timely resolution.
  2. Monitor and close Compensation Event notices to maintain contract compliance.
  3. Estimate and price Compensation Event quotations, negotiating agreements with stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with the Planning Department to ensure NEC notices are raised under the contract.
  5. Advise other departments on contractual obligations of the Contractor.
  6. Prepare Applications for Payment in accordance with the NEC method.
  7. Request invoices in accordance with contract conditions.
  8. Submit weekly dashboards to RCM for contract notice status.
  9. Produce Project Specific Cost and Value Reports.
  10. Forecast costs and value versus budget.
  11. Analyze costs, including prelims, plant, equipment, materials, labor, and subcontract.
  12. Conduct value analysis.
  13. Manage subcontractors.
  14. Support the Finance department with cash collection.
  15. Identify margin improvement opportunities.
  16. Support the commercial team in writing down Work in Progress.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a similar role in a contracting organization.
  2. Experience with NEC3/4 contracts.
  3. Experience with CEMAR or similar tools.
  4. Evidence of dispute resolution (desirable).
  5. Experience in the Pharma sector (desirable).
  6. SAP experience (desirable).
  7. Essential: Either engineering or commercial qualification.
  8. Desirable: Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, IT, or similar.
  9. Member of a Professional Institution (e.g. MRICS or similar).
  10. Strong background in dealing with commercial issues.
