Job Title: HGV Technician - Night Shift

Job Summary:

Ford & Slater Limited, a leading family-run business with 16 locations across the UK, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team on a night shift basis. As a Night Shift HGV Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of trucks and vehicles, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and maintaining trucks and vehicles to manufacturer's procedures
  • Carrying out safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOTs
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring repairs are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Participating in breakdowns and road testing vehicles when required
  • Completing paperwork, including job cards and service records, accurately and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Technician or Mechanic in the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, or associated sector
  • Qualified to Level 3 (C&G, NVQ, or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Excellent technical knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
