Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and production processes, contributing to the development of vacuum-compatible and in-vacuum systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating detailed designs using 3D CAD software
  • Generating manufacturing drawings
  • Ensuring the seamless integration and testing of these systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficient in SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation for mechanical design
  • Practical experience in mechanical assembly and testing
  • Strong ability to produce accurate written records and follow detailed procedures
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Desirable Skills

While not essential, experience with vacuum systems and cleanroom environments, knowledge of FEA and/or thermal analysis, and experience within the space industry and familiarity with ECSS standards would be highly desirable.
