About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking structural engineering designs and projects, primarily for bespoke, high-end buildings for both the domestic and commercial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the latest design software to create and manage structural designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to discuss design and technical solutions, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports for a wide range of structures and materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred).
  • Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of industry design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, NJUG, SSG, and others.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to offer innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Confident, articulate, collaborative, and proactive.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills and career with training support.
  • Good time management and organizational skills to efficiently manage workload.
  • A good knowledge of the CDM regulations, British standards, and EU regulations.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel across the UK.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
