Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff to ensure that outcomes are both safe and appropriate to the identified need.
  • Support the Team Manager in service development, safeguarding, professional supervision, and other management responsibilities.
  • Be accountable for the practice of our multidisciplinary team and provide effective professional leadership, supervision, mentoring, and coaching to enhance the quality of practice.
  • Covering and leading the duty function within both Intermediate Care and Urgent Response.
  • Triaging incoming referrals to social care urgent response and case allocation.
  • Undertake timely allocation of work to the right person and effectively manage waiting lists and risk.
  • Authorizing assessments and any other relevant work in a timely manner, and ensuring a high standard.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with relevant teams and negotiating smooth transfers of case responsibility when appropriate.
  • Ensure that safeguarding is a key priority and that effective systems and processes are in place for the investigation of all allegations and incidents of reported abuse.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England Registered (SWE)
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
