Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will oversee the housekeeping and catering operations, managing the housekeeping and portering team to ensure a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.

This role requires flexibility, with shifts scheduled from early morning to evening during weekdays, and occasional weekend work, for which additional compensation is provided.

Job Duties

The primary responsibilities include managing the housekeeping and portering team, completing daily administrative tasks, and ordering supplies, while also actively participating in patient food service and cleaning duties.

Education Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong general education background
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant experience

Experience Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Familiarity with moving and handling procedures
  • Basic cleaning competencies
  • Understanding of cleaning chemicals and materials

Desirable Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Background in mental health care settings

Skills Required

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Understanding of quality customer service principles
  • Basic IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
