Overview
As a pivotal figure within DAZN's live Transmission Suite, the Transmission Team Leader serves as the primary liaison for all transmission-related activities. This role requires adaptability to a dynamic shift schedule that aligns with DAZN's extensive sports programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a dedicated team of Live Directors.
- Ensure the seamless execution of live transmission operations.
- Verify and confirm daily transmission bookings.
- Enhance operational practices within the transmission department.
- Maintain up-to-date operational procedures.
- Handle incident management and reporting effectively.
- Identify and address operational challenges, contributing to solutions or escalations as necessary.
- Provide mentorship and support to Live Directors during shifts.
- Participate in the recruitment and development of Live Directors.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in a fast-paced live transmission environment, particularly in sports broadcasting, with proven leadership capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional broadcasting principles.
- Familiarity with broadcast technology, various transmission platforms, and both linear and IP protocols.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong prioritization skills and adaptability to evolving business needs.
- A collaborative team player who is also self-motivated and results-driven.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of broadcasting regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with Amagi Cloud TX Automation System is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Media Genix What's On planning system is preferred.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, Teams, and general software applications.
