Job Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Crookesbroom Primary Academy. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of our students, working closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons
  • Support students with their learning, providing individualized attention and guidance
  • Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience
  • A good standard of written and numeracy skills
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to use basic technology to support the role
  • Ability to build positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Completion of DfES Teacher Assistant Induction Programme, or equivalent
  • Working with or caring for children of relevant age
  • Understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
  • Emergency First Aid or First aid at work qualification
  • Previous experience of working with young people, preferably in a school setting
