Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at the Boohoo Group. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's regulatory obligations are met and risks are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on regulatory matters to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations, communicating effectively with the team.
  • Conduct regular compliance monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance policies and standards.
  • Assist in creating an effective Compliance Framework for the business.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in FCA regulated firms, with a good understanding of the consumer credit and payment services sector, and their relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (CCA 1974, FSMA 2000, PSRs 2017).
  • Knowledge of relevant FCA rules (CONC, DISP, SYSC, SUP).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, dynamic, and demanding environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workloads while working to strict deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders, while being able to challenge and influence stakeholders on their approach to compliance.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Qualification in Compliance at certification level or above.

Interview Process:

If we like your application, you will be asked to have a chat with one of our talent partners. If successful from this meeting, you will be asked to meet with the Head of Compliance who will go through your experience further and what value you could bring to the team. If the Head of Compliance likes what they see, they will ask for you to come back and present a task you are able to work on in your own time. If successful from there, we will bring you on board.
