Job Title: Crane Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Engineer to join our team at Speedy Services. As a Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting routine service inspections to overhead cranes and hoists, ensuring they are safe to use and meet legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine service inspections to overhead cranes and hoists
  • Consult with customers to ensure next steps are recorded and prevention of breakdowns is the goal
  • Anticipate problems before they occur and take proactive measures to prevent them
  • Carry out frontline maintenance, attending to breakdowns, fault finding, retrofits, modernisations, and upgrades to customers' cranes and hoists
Requirements:
  • NVQ3, HNC, HND, or C&G electrical engineering qualification
  • Relevant industry experience working with cranes and hoists
  • Current UK driving licence
Attributes:
  • Proven technical knowledge of lifting equipment and lifting machines
  • Excellent customer service manner, with strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with clients
  • Ability to support business unit/team to deliver ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
