Job Summary:

We are currently recruiting for a client in the specialized services industry that offers a variety of services from Steeplejack services to Lightning Protection and Specialist Earthing solutions. They are continuing to grow from strength to strength and are now looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to assist with their growth.

The Role:

  1. Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, target market, and specific lightning protection product requirements across the UK and overseas.
  2. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and engage potential clients, including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers, emphasising the benefits of the company lightning protection product portfolio.
  3. Utilise your knowledge of industry trends and best practices to provide strategic guidance to clients, helping them enhance their lightning protection offerings and gain a competitive edge.
  4. Build and maintain a strong network of industry professionals and key decision-makers across the UK, attending industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  5. Negotiate offers and contract terms with clients, ensuring a win-win outcome for all parties involved.
  6. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and new business opportunities within the lightning protection industry.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Previous experience in business development within the lightning protection industry is essential.
  2. Strong sales and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet sales targets within a competitive market.
  4. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
  6. A motivated self-starter with a passion for business development and lightning protection products.
