About the Role

CARE (Christian Action Research & Education) is seeking a skilled Development Officer to join our newly formed Development Team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for growing the charity's income from trusts and foundations, both from existing partnerships and actively seeking out new ones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to increase trusts and foundations income, in line with CARE's vision and values.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners, ensuring excellent donor care and stewardship.
  • Research and identify new trusts and foundations opportunities, making targeted approaches to secure funding.
  • Work closely with the Development Team to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of fundraising efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of fundraising materials, reports, and other documentation as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in trusts and foundations fundraising, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
