Position Overview:
Are you a qualified Primary Educator seeking a part-time role as a PPA Educator? Do you possess a strong commitment to supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges?

About Tradewind Recruitment:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently in search of a dedicated Teacher to join a nurturing primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) focused on SEMH education.

Role Details:
This is a part-time position (2-3 days per week) designed for the academic year, with the potential for a permanent contract based on performance reviews.

School Environment:
The institution caters to students from various primary schools who have faced permanent exclusion or are placed through specialized educational consultations. Many of the students also have additional diagnoses such as autism and/or ADHD.
Class sizes are intentionally kept small, accommodating up to six students per class, ensuring a high staff-to-student ratio for optimal support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:
As a PPA Educator, your duties will include:
1. Planning and assessing students in Key Stages 1 and 2 with SEMH needs.
2. Collaborating with Teaching Assistants and mentors to implement and manage targeted interventions.
3. Supporting and enforcing the school's behavioral policies.
4. Setting and updating educational targets for students.
5. Working alongside other professionals within the support network.

Qualifications Required:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
1. Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. Prior experience working with children exhibiting SEMH challenges.
3. Strong skills in behavior management.
4. An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, along with any necessary Overseas Police Clearances and professional reference checks.
5. A comprehensive CV covering the last decade of employment history.
