Orthopaedics DivisionPosition: Band 4 – Assistant Practitioner
Type: Permanent
An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Assistant Practitioner to become part of the Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. This role involves supporting patients throughout the Orthopaedic Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathway.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering dedicated care and support to patients scheduled for Orthopaedic Elective procedures. This includes providing comprehensive care, guidance, and assistance throughout the entire patient journey, from prehabilitation to recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and collaboratively within the broader Orthopaedic multidisciplinary team.
- Assess patient needs and adapt existing treatment plans as necessary.
- Deliver care without supervision, ensuring high standards of practice.
We seek motivated and enthusiastic candidates who can demonstrate experience in health, social care, or the independent sector while managing a delegated caseload. Successful applicants will have opportunities for professional development through training, appraisal processes, supervision, and continuing professional development (CPD).
