Night Hygiene Team Leader
An Exciting Role in Hygiene Management
A unique opportunity has emerged within our Hygiene department at Cranswick Country Foods PLC. The successful candidate will spearhead a dedicated hygiene team, ensuring the facility is maintained in pristine condition throughout the night shift. This role encompasses overall accountability for the daily operations of the night hygiene shift, supervising the hygiene Team Leaders and serving as the primary contact for all night-related tasks, challenges, and prospects.
Adhering to health and safety protocols while ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards is of utmost importance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the hygiene team to guarantee that all cleaning tasks are executed as per requirements, with appropriate documentation maintained to demonstrate due diligence.
- Collaborating with production team leaders/managers to ensure all areas are upheld to the highest standards.
- Verifying that all areas and equipment are cleaned to a superior standard before being returned to production, and addressing any shortcomings with the Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Monitoring the concentration of cleaning chemicals to ensure they meet required specifications and taking corrective measures when necessary.
- Conducting appraisals and one-on-one meetings with Hygiene Team Leaders.
- Auditing the cleaning processes of the night hygiene team alongside the Hygiene Team Leader to ensure compliance with required standards, holding the Team Leader accountable for the cleanliness of their team members, and providing training on expectations.
- Completing thorough training and maintaining records for the hygiene team.
- Assisting the Night Hygiene Manager in managing the inventory of energy, water, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
- Supporting the Night Hygiene Manager in ensuring that all relevant customer and legal standards are upheld throughout the facility.
- Acting as the main point of contact for all operational and engineering colleagues during on-site hours to assist with any requests.
Candidate Qualifications Include:
- Previous experience in people management.

Additionally, you will be required to participate in any training deemed necessary by the company to fulfill the above responsibilities.
Work Schedule: Shift pattern of 3 on, 1 off - 3 on, 7 off from 6:15 PM to 7:00 AM (flexibility around core working hours is essential).
Applicants should possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power BI) and the ability to foster positive relationships, promote team morale, and demonstrate energy and innovation.
