**Finance Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Finance Director to join our Senior Management Team at Retail Human Resources plc. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in driving the company's financial strategy and ensuring the successful operation of our retail business.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance and leadership to optimize the company's financial performance and position.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Manage and lead the finance department to ensure timely and accurate financial data is provided to stakeholders, supporting business decisions and performance reporting.
- Financial Systems and Processes: Ensure that company financial systems and processes are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
- Cash Management and Forecasting: Ensure robust cash management and forecasting to meet the requirements of the business for day-to-day, CAPEX, and growth strategies.
- Financial Policy and Procedure Development: Support the finance department to develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control of the Company.
- Financial Reporting and Budgeting: Ensure that period financial information, budgeting, and forecasting processes and reports are completed in a timely manner, reviewed, and agreed with the CEO and Senior Management Team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
- Business Strategy Development: Contribute fully to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
- Business Growth and Development: Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans to future-proof the business in a rapidly changing and competitive environment.
- Contract and Pricing Negotiations: Provide guidance and support, from a financial point of view, during contract and pricing/repricing negotiations.
- Accounting Policies and Compliance: Ensure that accounting policies comply with relevant accounting standards and that company policies are followed.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure operational excellence and flexibility to support our stores with the supply of stock in a timely and efficient manner via our Distribution Centres.
- Leadership and Development: Oversee, lead, and develop all teams/areas that report into the Finance Director.
- Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant with 10+ years post-qualification experience gained in a commercial environment.
- Experience: Significant experience of working in a retail or FMCG business is an advantage.
- Skills: Extensive executive-level strategic and financial experience, strong commercial acumen, capacity for pushing through change, strong leadership, relationship building, and people management skills, excellent business and analytical skills, excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders, and an open and proactive style of communication.
