About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to students, helping them to improve their academic performance and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality tutoring sessions to students, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans, ensuring that students make progress and achieve their learning goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers, keeping them informed of student progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the teaching team to ensure that students receive a comprehensive and supportive education.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification, such as QTS or a degree in Education.
  • Have previous experience of working with students on a one-to-one basis, either as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.
  • Be able to demonstrate a proven track record of improving student performance and achievement.
  • Hold a Team Teach Qualification and up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable).
  • Be registered with the online update service and hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate.
