Job Title: Financial Accountant

Glennon Brothers, a leading timber processor in Ireland and the UK, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join its finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts, leading the budgeting process, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
  • Support business managers with profitability, KPI, and production reports
  • Complete HMRC returns, including VAT and plastic tax
  • Agree and administer inter-company recharges
  • Review and authorise bank payments
  • Maintain FAR and prepare quarterly capex reports
  • Liaise with external auditors and lead the audit process
Requirements:
  • Recently qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in business applications and IT skills
