Key Responsibilities:

In this essential role, you will contribute to the assembly of meal kits for our clientele. Your position is crucial in facilitating the smooth flow of incoming and outgoing products while adhering to Health & Safety and Food Safety protocols. You will utilize material handling equipment (MHE) to assist with stock movements, support inventory oversight, and enhance the overall effectiveness of our operations.

  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations, actively cooperating with the organization on all health and safety matters. You are responsible for your own health, safety, and welfare during your work activities and must report incidents promptly while raising any health and safety concerns with your Line Manager.
  • Engage in basic troubleshooting and escalate issues to the shift team as needed.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Instructions.
  • Clear any jams or blockages in automated machinery.
  • Assist with general warehouse tasks, including restocking cartons in box erectors and lidding machines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, including workstations, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions to the Warehouse Team Leader.
  • Ensure compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene standards.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties associated with this role.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in a warehouse or similar setting, preferably within the food sector.
  • GCSE qualifications in Maths and English.
  • MHE License is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (relevant certification is advantageous).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive attitude with the flexibility to adapt to business needs.
