AGM Construction Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to enhance our Commercial Services division. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business development initiatives to enhance our market presence.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services, acting as the primary liaison to instill client confidence.
- Oversee all commercial aspects of projects within our portfolio, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Play a pivotal role in securing repeat business and identifying new market opportunities.
- Manage project accounts and internal costings effectively, ensuring alignment with service fees and resource needs.
- Collaborate independently within a multidisciplinary team across various locations.
- Prepare and review client reports, providing strategic advice on commercial matters.
Qualifications:
- Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (or equivalent).
- Extensive network and knowledge of local markets, with a proven track record in generating repeat business.
- Significant experience in estimating for property-related projects.
- Proficient in preparing tender and contract documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to interface with senior-level clients effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare and edit comprehensive reports.
- Strong presentation skills, capable of advising senior client representatives on critical issues.
- Solid understanding of construction risk and commercial management principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project components and overall construction costs, alongside familiarity with various procurement options.
- Experience in leading project commercial teams and supporting colleagues.
- Proven capability in post-contract administration.
- Awareness of key commercial issues related to private sector projects.
- Experience in infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Proficient in IT tools, including Office, Outlook, BIM/CAD measurement, and cost planning software.
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Ability to make informed decisions and work independently when required.
- Full driving license is desirable.
