AML Compliance Specialist

Savills is seeking a highly skilled AML Supervisor to join our UK Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and other financial crime-related regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and approve client due diligence (CDD) checks carried out by the AML processing team.
- Complete CDD checks for Savills clients and counterparties as required, using compliance systems, logs, and files.
- Obtain and review information from relevant sources, such as Companies House, to determine further information requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to the AML processing team on complex and high-risk AML cases.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients/solicitors to obtain information or clarify information already received.
- Ensure CDD checks are conducted within the required timeframes, in accordance with Savills UK procedures and compliance management.
- Investigate and resolve sanctions screening alerts as required by compliance management.
- At least 5 years' experience in AML/CDD/KYC, with 2 years' prior experience in a QA/sign-off CDD/KYC role.
- Knowledge of all client types and the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, The Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, Terrorism Act 2000, and Joint Money Laundering Steering Group Guidance.
- Strong administration, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Resilient personality with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail, organisation skills, and workload prioritisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

This is a full-time role, with a 7.5-hour working day (initially 09:00 to 17:30, with flexibility to move to 08:30 to 17:00 or 09:30 to 18:00 after probation). The successful candidate will be required to undergo a personality profile assessment, AML case study, and interviews with our recruitment team and employer.
