Network Consultant - Hertfordshire (Hybrid) - Azure/Juniper/Arista/Cisco

TrinIT Talent is seeking a highly skilled Network Consultant to join our client's team based in Hertfordshire and remotely. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of up to £85,000 per annum + bonus, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and operate large-scale, multilayer switching and routing using current Arista/Juniper/Cisco equipment in WAN and LAN environments.
  • Develop and implement Wide Area Networking technologies and protocols, such as MPLS, WAN Optimization, CoS, DWDM.
  • Provide technical expertise in ISO/OSI network model, troubleshooting, and design. Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, IGRP), DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management, and TCP/UDP Port RFC & IEEE 802-based standards.
  • Design and implement Cisco ISE platforms in distributed/HA mode.
  • Develop and implement Microsoft Azure & AWS solutions.
  • Drive architecture and technical discussion to lead cloud security, privacy, and compliance decisions, scale, performance, agility, HA/DR considerations.
Requirements:
  • Excellent levels of practical experience in designing/building, operating large-scale, multilayer switching and routing using current Arista/Juniper/Cisco equipment in WAN and LAN environments.
  • Very good knowledge of Wide Area Networking technologies and protocols, such as MPLS, WAN Optimization (Riverbed Steelhead or Cisco WAS), CoS, DWDM.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of ISO/OSI network model, troubleshooting, and design. Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, IGRP), DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management, and TCP/UDP Port RFC & IEEE 802-based standards.
  • Cisco/Arista Switches deployed in Spine/Leaf topology.
  • Strong experience with both centralized and local Wireless LAN Controllers, WLAN technologies, network management, 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards.
  • Planning, designing, and implementing Microsoft Azure & AWS solutions.
