About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical and Control Engineer to join our team at Wentworth James Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design work packages, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in automation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers, providing guidance and coaching to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Collaborate with Business Development and Applications teams to develop robust estimation norms and provide pre-sale technical support.
  3. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure solid delivery plans are in place for all Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design work packages.
  4. Develop and maintain Electrical Design processes and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors to secure high-quality resources for peak demands.
  6. Create and maintain internal standards, templates, and best-practices to ensure highest efficiency.
  7. Collaborate with Manufacturing management to ensure processes and methodologies are aligned.
  8. Recruit, train, and develop Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design Engineers to meet business demands.
  9. Monitor team output and audit quality of work to ensure best-in-class and right-first-time delivery.
  10. Provide technical direction, embracing innovation and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and regulations.
Requirements
  1. BEng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 7 years in a relevant technical delivery or management role.
  3. Subject Matter Expert in electrical control systems.
