We are seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician to join our team at TLP Recruitment. As a key member of our automotive services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our customers' vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and accurate MOT inspections on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with all DVSA regulations and guidelines.
- Identify any issues or defects during the inspection and carry out or recommend necessary repairs, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with mechanics and service advisors to ensure smooth workflow within the workshop, assisting with general vehicle repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Maintain all MOT testing equipment to ensure it is well-maintained, calibrated, and in good working order.
- MOT Tester Certification: Must hold an NVQ Level 2 Vehicle Inspection Certification or equivalent with a valid Class 4 MOT Testing License.
- Experience: Proven experience as an MOT Tester, with a strong track record of conducting thorough and accurate inspections.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and repair techniques. Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in an understandable way.
