The Medicines Management Directorate is seeking a dedicated and proactive pharmacy technician to enhance our pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in collaborating with ward-based pharmacists while also delivering dispensing and verification services. Technicians play a crucial role within the multidisciplinary team at the ward level and are involved in technician-led dispensing operations. You will have the opportunity to gain experience across various clinical specialties, working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional, patient-centered medicines management services. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to ensure the delivery of efficient and safe pharmacy services in dynamic environments. We are committed to the professional growth of our technicians and offer outstanding in-house training, encouraging you to expand your skills in diverse roles. Candidates must possess a BTEC National Certificate and NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical sciences or an equivalent qualification. Accreditation as an Accredited Checking Technician and experience in Medicines Management are prerequisites for a Band 5 position. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council is also required.
Proficiency in Welsh is advantageous for this role; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are welcome.

- BTEC Pharmacy Technician or equivalent in pharmaceutical science
- NVQ Level 3 in pharmaceutical sciences
