Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced solicitor to join our Commercial Team at East Dunbartonshire Council. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and support to our services, with a focus on property law and commercial/construction law.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide insightful and proactive legal support to our services, with a focus on property law and commercial/construction law.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management and other legal teams.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform legal advice and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and case law, and apply this knowledge to inform legal advice and recommendations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in property law or commercial/construction law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
• Strong initiative and enthusiasm to try new areas of law and take on new challenges.
