Job Title: Health and Safety Manager Full Time

ALPLA UK is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Birkenhead/Wirral location. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for managing Health and Safety activity on site, ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective Health and Safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with specialist providers for specified risk assessments and ensure that all necessary permits and certifications are in place.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Provide site-based support to our Merseyside based plant, including HSE inductions and refreshers.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Environmental management certificate.
  • Experience within a Manufacturing/FMCG environment.
  • Skilled in workplace transport, task risk assessment, manual handling assessment, COSHH, PUWER knowledge.
  • Demonstration of professional competence and hands-on delivery.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and HSE ACOPS.
