Haling Park Care Home is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Assistant (Bank) to join our team. As a Housekeeping / Laundry Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our care home, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a high-quality domestic cleaning service, adhering to company policies and best practices.
- Undertake all necessary hygienic work practices to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Clean and protect various floor surfaces, furniture, and fixtures.
- Ensure laundry is cleaned to a high standard, complying with specific guidelines and schedules.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information.
- Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety and COSHH.
- Check that all residents' personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair, and returned to the correct resident.
- Assist with the daily well-being of residents and help them settle into their new environment.
- Work with other staff to ensure the laundry service is effective and efficient.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
