Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our team at the Three Spires Medical Practice in Truro. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy and friendly environment, providing high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist in our 'see and treat' Dermatology service, working closely with the Consultant Dermatologist or GPwSI.
  • Provide healthcare services, including phlebotomy, INR, administering flu injections, urinalysis, diabetic foot checks, BP monitoring, and measuring/monitoring ECGs.
  • Work with the nurse team to provide care for patients as directed by the practice nurse or GP.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in HCA or Health and Social Care.
  • GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths (or Literacy / Numeracy at Level 2 or above).
  • Fully trained in Phlebotomy and assisting in minor procedures.
  • Experience of working in primary care, unsupervised, and in a GP practice.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Uses initiative and can prioritize tasks.
  • Confident and enthusiastic, with the ability to work as part of a team.
