Job Title: Python Developer SC Cleared

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with extensive experience in Flask and SQLAlchemy to contribute to the development of our microservice-based application.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and optimize microservices using Python, Flask, and SQLAlchemy, ensuring high standards of performance and reliability.
  • Implement advanced strategies to enhance database performance, including query optimization and indexing within PostgreSQL and Aurora clusters.
  • Deploy and manage services in Docker containers using AWS Fargate and EC2, ensuring seamless integration and operational scalability.
  • Offer expert guidance in Python development, Flask, SQLAlchemy, and database management, providing insights into best practices and contributing to the overall technical direction of the project.
  • Assume full ownership of assigned tasks, from inception through to deployment, with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Python development, with extensive use of Flask.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL, with significant experience in database optimization, particularly in clustered environments such as AWS Aurora.
  • Strong practical experience in deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker, AWS Fargate, and EC2.
  • Thorough understanding of microservices architecture, with a focus on performance, scalability, and best practices in cloud environments.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, particularly in the context of system performance optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently manage workload with minimal oversight.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with the broader team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with additional AWS services, such as Lambda, RDS, and S3.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including participation in sprints and collaborative development efforts.
