About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to join our team at Thales UK. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering engineering activities, managing tasks allocated to team members or project teams, and ensuring timely completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver engineering activities, including production of detailed Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMP) and quality bills of material and Product Breakdown Structures.
  • Manage tasks allocated to team members or project teams, ensuring timely completion and prioritization of work packages.
  • Interface with SDAs, project management, and ILS repair organizations to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Define entry and exit criteria for gate reviews, such as SOR/SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR/FAT/SAT/TQR, and manage the integration of specialisms within a project.
  • Identify metrics that will be generated, validated, and analyzed to measure project success.
Requirements
  • A large portfolio of experience in Engineering Management and managing teams.
  • Entrepreneurship: must demonstrate innovative behaviors and be able to propose support and develop new ideas and processes.
  • Professionalism: must take ownership, share own expertise and experience to deliver what is promised; be customer-focused and demonstrate behaviors that ensure maximum business benefit.
  • Understand, support, advise, and work to the System Engineering lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of coaching and motivating others and encouraging mentorship across the wider Thales business.
