We are seeking a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team and work on a large high-profile project with a main contractor who can offer fast-track career progression.
Fawkes & Reece are partnered with a leading Contractor with projects in UK, Ireland, Mainland Europe, USA, and Canada with an approximate turnover of £600m. They specialize in Industrial Data Centres, Advanced Manufacturing, and Pharmaceuticals for global leading clients.
About the Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in shaping project commercial strategies, managing subcontract packages efficiently, and maximizing project value. You will work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure the success of main and subcontract final accounts for one of the biggest companies globally.
Responsibilities:
- Support our quantity surveying team to ensure efficient cost management and project delivery.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
- Support in conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost control and financial efficiency.
- Help monitor project progress, prepare interim valuations, and manage change orders.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly cost reports and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
