Financial Director

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and external regulations. This role will involve providing financial insights and forecasts to the Leadership Team, as well as managing the preparation of annual financial statements and VAT returns.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation and control of monthly management information
- Preparation of annual financial statements and management of the year-end audit process
- Preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax, and other local tax returns
- Preparation and presentation of quarterly board reporting and other ad-hoc reporting as needed
- Identifying opportunities for and driving process improvement and efficiencies across all finance activities
- Liaising and building effective relationships with various stakeholders both internally and externally
- Manage multi-currency transactions and reporting
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Director to support strategic financial decisions
- Provide financial oversight for industrial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or QBE qualification
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
- Sound and up-to-date knowledge of UKGAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Excellent Excel modelling skills
- Multi-Currency experience
- Attention to detail is key
- Excellent communication skills
- Manufacturing experience would be desirable
- An attractive salary package in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE
- Generous holiday leave, with 20 days rising to 25, plus bank holidays
