Waste Operative Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Waste Operative to join our team at CTS Recruitment LTD. As a Waste Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of waste across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and dispose of waste from residential and commercial premises in various receptacles, including wheeled bins, trade bins, clear, black, and blue sacks, and food waste caddies.
  • Assist drivers in reversing and maneuvering vehicles.
  • Contribute to the daily and weekly maintenance and cleaning of the depot and vehicles.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a physically demanding manual job role or outdoor environment.
  • Physical fitness to move bags and wheeled bins throughout the working day and walk for several miles.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or crew.
  • Previous experience in a public-facing role dealing with customers.
  • Experience with collection and delivery schedules.
