Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel - 12 Month Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide support to the Head of Legal for Informa Markets, working on a range of commercial contracts, advising on IP issues, and resolving disputes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Legal with business-as-usual activities, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Respond to ad hoc legal queries from the Informa Markets division, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Work with Compliance and other functions on discrete compliance and internal audit projects, such as data protection, anti-bribery and corruption, health and safety, and sanctions.
  • Engage with colleagues from all areas of the business and external stakeholders, building effective working relationships.
  • Supervise junior Legal Team members, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications:
  • A qualified lawyer with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of advising clients on commercial contracts, IP issues, and disputes.
  • Prior experience of building effective working relationships with clients in a business.
  • Prior in-house experience and/or experience of the events industry is desirable but not essential.
