Associate Town Planner Job in a Consultancy Firm

Hunter Dunning Limited is seeking an experienced Associate Town Planner to join our team in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for leading and collaborating on planning projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice on planning matters to clients
  2. Collaborate and lead on projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
  3. Represent clients in local plan consultations and negotiations
  4. Manage site promotion and appeals, ensuring compliance with planning regulations
  5. Prepare and submit planning applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  6. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and community groups
  7. Identify and optimize new business opportunities and cross-selling initiatives
  8. Stay up-to-date with local and national planning policy changes, ensuring our clients receive expert advice
  9. Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices
  10. Support the Associate Directors and Directors in driving business growth and strategy

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience post-qualification in the private or public sector
  2. Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related field
  3. RTPI membership and a strong commitment to professional development
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  5. A full driving license and access to a vehicle
