Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the UK Quarterly VAT Return for the UK VAT Groups.
  • Extracting data from various IT applications, verifying this data, and analyzing transactions by applying UK VAT rules.
  • Performing transactional reviews following internal SOPs and HMRC VAT compliance guidance.
  • Supporting the UK Tax team with International VAT compliance preparation/review.

Requirements:

  • ACA (or equivalent) or CTA (part or fully) qualified tax professional.
  • Qualified to CCAB or ATT.
  • Experience of working in a complex International Group with a range of VAT recoverable rates.
  • Production of UK and International VAT returns.
  • Robust knowledge of current UK and International VAT legislation.
  • Use of VAT specific software including Alpha VAT - desirable.
  • Good communication and influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Data manipulation from multiple sources.
  • Advanced Excel skills are desirable but not essential.
  • Highly organized and great time management.
  • Positive can-do attitude and natural problem solver, multi-tasker, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
